Ans: Vaastu believes that surrounding environment is made up of the sum-total of the energy force fields of numerous animate and inanimate forms, solar and other planetary radiations, and earth radiations etc. Energy is considered as emanating from northeast corner. Therefore, sites sloping down from higher levels of south & west towards north & east are considered good. Levels & height of buildings should be higher in south & west as compared to buildings of north & east. Followed by southeast, northwest & northeast, southwest corner should be the highest.
