What are the application differences between quartz and piezoceramic base sensors?
Piezoceramic sensors exhibit much higher charge outputs in comparison to quartz based sensors. This lowers the electronic noise of the sensor and allows much lower level signals to be measured. Piezoceramic based sensors should be used for monitoring slow speed machinery typically found in industrial applications.
