What are the application deadlines?

First of all, students need to have completed their first year and have at least 30 credits to be eligible to attend any of the programs. For semester programs, many of the students are juniors, but sophomores and seniors also participate in the programs. For summer programs, the summer before or after the junior year seems to work well. About the same number of students attend programs in the fall as in the spring. One semester does not seem to be more popular than the other. Summer programs, which tend to be shorter, have typically been quite popular among UTD students.

Due to the increased demand for Web-based courses, the School has implemented stricter application deadlines to help plan for future course offerings. The deadlines by which completed applications must be submitted for admissions consideration for a given semester are as follows: February 1 – Fall Semester (begins in September) September 1 – Spring Semester (begins in January) December 1 – Summer Semester (begins in May) It is up to the applicant to ensure all materials, including letters of recommendation and transcripts arrive by the deadline. Please allow sufficient time for all documentation to arrive.
Round 1: For applications that are complete and submitted by October 20, 2009, decisions will be sent on January 27, 2010. Round 2: For applications that are complete and submitted by December 10, 2009, decisions will be sent on March 17, 2010. Round 3: For applications that are complete and submitted by February 2, 2010, decisions will be sent on April 28, 2010. The application process for courses is announced three times a year. Deadline of application for courses in the first trimester (February-April) is 1 December of the previous year. Deadline of application for courses offered in the second trimester (April-June) is 1 February. Deadline of application for courses in the third trimester (September-November) is 1 June.
