All real world Tactical, Contingency or Emergency airlift (OEF and OIF) missions will be Chapter 3 approved. All training and most exercise missions will not be Chapter 3 approved. When Chapter 3 is authorized, vehicles, and self-propelled units can have ¾ tank of fuel when the deploying unit commander deems it necessary for operational necessity. If mission is not Chapter 3 approved, then vehicles and self-propelled units can have ½ tank of fuel.
