What are the aims of the Mentor Plus scheme?
The overarching aim of the Mentor Plus scheme is to improve outcomes for children, young people and their families by supporting directors of children’s services (DCSs) to further develop the skills and experience they need to be truly inspirational and highly effective leaders. The mentoring scheme is designed to build on the insights, strengths and current experience of serving DCSs, and transfer this knowledge to newly appointed DCSs through a mentoring relationship.
