What are the agronomic benefits of InVigor hybrid canola?
InVigor hybrid canola has been developed to significantly out-yield and outperform open-pollinated varieties. Our trials to date indicate 10% to 15% yield increases over open pollinated varieties and 20% to 30% yield increases over the triazine tolerant varieties. InVigor hybrid canola has fast emergence and competitive establishment. It competes better with weeds, disease and insects and shows good tolerance in sub optimal growing conditions such as very dry conditions. InVigor hybrid canola also shows increased uniformity whilst growing, ensuring evenness of crop maturity and ripening, resulting a reduction of yield losses due to seed shattering during harvest. Weed control in InVigor hybrid canola can be optimised through the use Liberty herbicide. The new mode of action of Liberty herbicide is an effective tool against weeds already showing resistance to existing herbicides used in canola.
