What are the ages of students who can be referred to SARB?
California education law requires students between the ages of 6 and 18 to attend school daily except for 16-18 year olds who have graduated or passed the California High School Proficiency Exam (CHSPE) and obtained permission from their parents to leave school. Any student who meets these age requirements, and who is having attendance or behavior issues, could potentially be referred to SARB.
