What are the age requirements to be a part of the halftime show?

Age requirements differ depending on the event. The youngest age accepted is 5 years, and only at the Gator Bowl. The Champs Sports Bowl accepts performers ages 7 and older, and all other games minimum age is 10 years old. Any potential performers under the age of 12 must be pre-approved by the BGAP staff and must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. The rehearsals for the show are fast-paced and physically demanding. At times, our younger dancers have trouble keeping up with this atmosphere. If a younger dancer is accepted but cannot participate fully in all required rehearsals and keep up with the level of dance required, they may be pulled from the show routine at the discretion of the choreographer.
