The State of NJ now requires an ID from both the parent and child before a piercing or anchor can be do so DON’T FORGET TO BRING YOUR ID’S!!! You must be at least 18 years old with a picture ID to get a piercing or dermal anchors without a parent or legal guardian. If you are below the age of 18, you will need to bring your parent (Mother or Father) or your legal guardian (with paperwork from the courts). By law, no one else can sign for your piercing or dermal anchor. For navel piercing, we prefer that the client be close to 15 years old or older. This is because if the piercing is done when the person is too young, the jewelry will be pushed out of the body when a growth spurt occurs, leaving a scar.
