What are the age brackets during the Spring season?

0

Answer – The players are grouped into age brackets that span two year periods. These are designated as U8, U10, U12, U14, and U16. The “U” stands for “under”. Therefore a U10 team is comprised of players that were 8 or 9 years old, but less that 10, as of August 1st of the preceding calendar year. Likewise a U12 team would be comprised of players who were 10 or 11, but less than 12, as of August 1st of the previous calendar year. note: in some instances, where situations warrant, and at the discretion of the BTAA Soccer Coordinator, players may be placed into the next higher age group and play up if in the upcoming fall season they will be moving up to that next age bracket… In other words, if a player is currently eligible for U10 but will move up to U12 in the fall they may be moved up to U12 in the current Spring season.
