What are the AFROTC requirements?
Education The first part of AFROTC is education, which is made up of Aerospace Studies class and your academic requirements. Air Force ROTC Class Air 151 class (air class, as cadets call it) is designed to help you gain a better understanding of the Air Force and how it conducts its operations. Class subjects include Air Force and military command structure, military history, rank, uniform wear, customs and courtesies, and leadership/followership training. You need to schedule this class when you attend Penn State’s Freshman, Testing, Counseling, and Advising Program (FTCAP) program or sometime before the semester begins. Air class is one hour long and meets once a week. Air class is required as part of being a cadet in the Air Force ROTC program. You will take an air class all eight semesters you attend school. Air class books and materials are provided free of cost. College Degree Academics are paramount in Air Force ROTC, because if you don’t get a college degree, you can’t be commi
