Yvonne Andres, a teacher involved in the Global SchoolNet Foundation, found that video-conferencing over the Internet fosters relationships between students, educators, and scientists who participate. In the March 1995 article, “Scientist on Tap: Video-Conferencing over the Internet”, Andres documented experiences she had with a class on this subject. Andres Global Schoolhouse classroom used a tool CU-SeeMe, developed by Cornell University, to do video-conferencing over the Internet.
