What are the advantages of using vibration pagers over a flashing number board?
Most pastors dislike the flashing number boards because they require parents to direct their attention elsewhere. Additionally, everyone in the church becomes aware that a number is flashing, not just the parent you wish to notify. This can create a distraction from worship for the entire congregation. Unlike light boards, pagers allow parents to be reached even if they have left the sanctuary to go to the restroom, fellowship hall, Bible study classroom, etc.
