What are the advantages of using ComposiMold over Silicone molds?
ComposiMold is less expensive (definitely cheaper in the long run) and much more forgiving in terms of allowing you to fix mistakes (Reheat or use a heat gun to heat an area). The silicone is typically longer lasting for single molds have excellent flexibility, and typically easy mold release. Disadvantages include the inability to fix the mold or reuse the material (you can not fix them or recast them). One of the initial ways we started using ComposiMold was for a backing to brush on silicones and polyurethane because you can use very little of the silicone and reduce the costs. By using silicone with the ComposiMold you get the benefits of the long lasting mold if needed without the expenses.
