What Are the Advantages of Tankless Water Heaters?
Conventional water heaters heat a tankful of water, usually 30, 40 or 50 gallons, and keep it heated so that when you wash your hands, start the shower or turn on your washing machine hot water is there almost immediately. This convenience has a price, however: A lot of energy is wasted when water is kept hot while nobody is home or when everyone is sleeping. It is similar to leaving your car idling in case someone needs to go somewhere, or having a fresh pot of hot coffee available around the clock, in case someone wants a cup. Tankless water heaters are becoming a reasonable—and energy-saving—alternative.
