The programme in Bournemouth was developed in 1996 and was the first of its kind in the world. Our course is unique as it not only covers crime scene investigations in the UK, but our staff have a wealth of experience in the investigations of mass graves for criminal tribunals and humanitarian efforts abroad. Our units are tailor-made for Master’s level and we offer expert witness training (taught by a leading barrister), and a Crime Scene Workshop. The Forensic Archaeology programme benefits from a large number of visiting speakers who are leading forensic experts in the UK. For this reason the fees at Bournemouth may be slightly higher than at other institutions.
