What are the advantages of Project 64?
Support is a big one. Since PJ64 has been around so long, it has a massive following. There are a lot of tutorial and help websites and resources out there. Project 64 is also the most stable released N64 emulator. Not a lot of glitches. It basically runs well on most decent PCs. I will get into the specific PC minimum requirements later on. Project 64 also runs the most games. A lot of other N64 emulators can run some games well, but it can’t run as many games well. Compatibility is something a lot of N64 emulators struggle with. Can I play Nintendo 64 game online with Project 64? Simply put no. I just suggest using Mupen64 if you want to play online. PJ64 does have an unofficial release PJ64K which has online play. Is the quality good? For one or two games yes. For GoldenEye and most other games? No, PJ64K does not do a good job when compared to Mupen64.
