What are the advantages of Orthokeratology over Refractive eye surgery?
Orthokeratology normally costs less than refractive eye surgery; does not involve post-operative pain; nor does it leave corneal hazing or scarring as is often the case with surgery. There is no loss of Bowman’s membrane (the tough protective layer just under the outer corneal surface) and above all, Orthokeratology is reversible. Surgery is not!
