What are the advantages of Ordnance Survey sharing data?
Whilst Ordnance Survey is a government department, it receives no direct funding from the tax payer. Ordnance Survey is what is referred to as a Trading Fund and as such we are required to recover our costs from those who licence Crown data from us, regardless of whether they are in the private or public sector.
