What are the advantages of getting a thermogram?
Thermography does not emit radiation of any kind. The camera does not even touch the body but rather picks up the heat pattern coming off the body. There is no squashing of breast or body tissue, no enclosed spaces to lie down in, can map pain throughout the body and can pick up inflammatory breast cancer unlike any other technology. Thermography is used as an adjunct technology together with mammogram, MRI, etc. for earlier detection of disease.
