What are the advantages of Endoscopic / Laparoscopic surgery ?
As mentioned above, there is no pain in postoperative period. Chances of infection of the wound infection and herniation of contents through scar of the wound i.e. hernia are bare minimum. Duration of hospitalization is reduced to minimum and in large number of cases it is less than 24 hours and called as Day care surgery. Person can return to work on second or third day. Ultimarely is proves cheaper for the patient and hence money saver.
