Steel is light and strong. It does not burn. It is termite-proof and borer-proof and it is dimensionally stable. In other words, it will not shrink or warp. Walls and ceilings tend not to have ripples or bumps in them. There are no “nail pops” in plasterboard walls, no shrinkage in floor framing and no sagging roofs. Using steel is environmentally responsible.
