What are the advantages of being both the driver and the chief engineer?
There is never a misunderstanding between the two parties! Its a great situation as the designer always knows exactly what the driver wants. In fact it s a real pleasure to be both the driver and designer, my dream come true. Ask a driver if he would like to race a car he designed, and then you will understand what I’m talking about. Of course it is not all good, right now there is not enough time to do both jobs the right way, so the driver is suffering a lot as he has no time to train. What tools did you use to design the car? The whole car is designed in 3D using 2 parametric CAD software, then a wind tunnel model was built and tested. Why did you choose the Ford V8 origninally? First of all, when we started the project there was not a big difference in terms of performance between our Ford engine and other engines available.
