What are the advantages of becoming an advanced driver?
If taking pride in achieving a high level of driving skill – way above the average driver – is not enough then consider this… As an advanced driver you are about 70% less likely to be involved in a driving related incident* (see note below). It could be possible to reduce your motoring insurance because you are an advanced driver. Advanced driving techniques tend to be far kinder to your car, reducing your maintenance bills and the extra smoothness of the drive is usually appreciated by your passengers and, very importantly, none of this has an adverse impact on journey times, in fact a typical advanced driver will reduce his/her journey time. *Figures vary and rely upon the driver maintaining a high standard of driving after passing the test. Note. we do not say “accidents” because accidents are not avoidable whereas 95% of road incidents are avoidable.
