What are the advantages and limitations of ViewletBuilders built-in FTP tool?
The advantages of ViewletBuilder’s built-in FTP tool are that it is very easy to use, uploads your Viewlet while inside ViewletBuilder, and pratically automates the entire FTP process for you. While it is satisfactory for a lot of our customers, it also has some limitations. Since it is just a simple FTP tool, it will only upload files in “passive mode” (an option that cannot be changed) and some servers don’t accept this mode of transfer. And, you must open your Viewlet project inside ViewletBuilder first in order to upload it using this built-in tool and it will only upload one set of Viewlet files at a time.
