What are the advantages and disadvantages of using nuclear power as an alternative to petroleum based energy sources?
Just read any Asimov novel very fees able futuristic depictions with mini (fit into watch sizes) reactors fueling technology. However ultimately plutonium is a finite resource so renewable energy options need to be considered seriously, apparently they are looking into separating the hydrogen in water through fission if this works this will provide an endless supply of energy although limited to the amount of water you can obtain, but the waste from using hydrogen is water so it goes back to be used again as infinitum, here’s hoping…I won’t bother with the pitfalls of using nuclear energy so openly all the radioactive waste because petrol clearly has its own side-effects although nothing so volatile.
