Advantages • Sexual pleasure may be greater since pregnancy is no longer a concern. • Sexual drive, performance and enjoyment are not affected. • Sterilization is permanent and is highly effective. • Allows the woman to be in control of her reproductive health. Disadvantages • Sterilization is permanent. Some people may change their mind after the sterilization is done. • Reversal is expensive and not very successful. • It offers no protection against sexually transmitted infections (STIs).
