What are the advantages and disadvantages of a fitted pouch?
A fitted pouch sling is probably the easiest sling around. You basically just put it on, pop the baby in, and go. There`s no slippage or rings or buckles of any kind in a fitted sling. Structured soft carriers can cause back pain, and babies can outgrow them in a couple months. Also, some parents have trouble with adjustable ring slings because they constantly need adjusting, or because the rings tend to bonk the baby’s head. Hotslings pouches are extremely compact (even with the tiny amount of padding!) with no long tail. They just pop right in your diaper bag. It’s also possible to swing the baby around on your body quickly and easily from front to hip to back with no adjusting. On the flip side, sometimes sizing is tricky at first, but once you get it right, it`s awesome. Most people get it right the first time.
