What are the advantages and disadvantages for changing my cross-ply tyres to radials?
Fitting radial tyres will usually give you improved grip and handling when the car is in motion, and they do not ‘tramline’ (following lines and grooves in the road) as much as cross-ply tyres, however you may notice that radial tyres generate more feedback at lower speeds, which may translate to heavy parking and more difficult low speed manoeuvring.
