What are the advantages and disadvantages between your thermoset(Qlon) and thermoplastics(aptus & poly-flex)?
o Thermosets- These are nearly impervious to shrinkage and expansion. This means that the height and reach of the seal won’t be compromised, and you will get the best possible seal out of your weatherstripping. o Thermoplastics- Not as commonly used in construction these days, but are inexp ensive being about half the price of a thermoset for the same amount of material. However, the shape and size of the material is compromised after a few years.
