What are the admission requirements for A level?
Ans. Admission is based purely on merit. A student who has passed G.C.E ‘O’ Level Overseas Examination of the University of Cambridge Local Examination Syndicate for International Examinations or an equivalent examination of any other recognized examining body are qualified to apply for admission. Merit will be evaluated on the basis of past academic records (Prelims included), previous school recommendations and the ‘O’ Level results. In order to qualify for admission a student must have a passing grade in at least six ordinary level subjects and a minimum ‘C’ grade in English Language. No applicant may claim the right of admission to the ‘A’ Level by the mere fact that he has appeared for the GCE ‘O’ Level Examination from St. Michael’s Convent School.
