What are the activities of the Chhattisgarh Environment Conservation Board?
Main activities of the Board are:- Implementation of Water, Air, Cess and Environment Protection Acts/Rules • Prevention and control of water pollution and maintaining or restoring the wholesomeness of water by treating sewage, industrial effluents etc., protecting / conserving natural waters to statutory norms and reducing, recycling, reusing and safe-disposing solid wastes conforming to statutory norms. • Prevention, control and abatement of air pollution. • Protection and improvement of environment and matters connected there with. • Conservation and enrichment of natural resources. • Issuance of NOC for 30 types of activities/projects requiring Environmental Clearance and Consent for establishment. • Conduction of Public Hearing for 30 types of activities/projects requiring Environmental Clearance. • Issuance of Consent to operate and periodic renewals. • Assessment of Water Cess and collection of Water Cess. • Inventorization and management of Hazardous Wastes and issuance of auth
