What are the active ingredients?
Pregnacare® contains the following active ingredients per tablet: Vitamin D (200 IU) 5 mcg; Vitamin E 20 mg; Vitamin C 70 mg; Vitamin B1 3 mg; Vitamin B2 2 mg; Niacin 20 mg; Vitamin B6 10 mg; Folic Acid 400 mcg; Vitamin B12 6 mcg; Betacarotene 3 mg; Vitamin K 70 mcg; Iron 20 mg; Magnesium 150 mg; Zinc 15 mg; Iodine 140 mcg; Copper 1 mg. Pregnacare® is free from artificial colourings, gluten, preservatives, fat and yeast. Pregnacare® is not tested on animals.
Researchers have identified that water-soluble polysaccharides are one of the active ingredients found in Red Reishi that have anti-tumour, immune modulating and blood pressure lowering effects. Another active ingredient is triterpenes, a class of them found in Reishi is known as ganoderic acids. Studies have indicated that ganoderic acids help alleviate common allergies by inhibiting histamine release, improve oxygen utilization and improve liver functions.
Sodium chlorite (commonly known as stabilized chlorine dioxide) is the active ingredient in Solution 1. It is an oxidizing agent, which helps eliminate existing sulfur gases (bad breath gases) in the mouth. Zinc chloride is the active ingredient in Solution 2. It helps to prevent new sulfur gases (bad breath odors) from forming. Both active ingredients work together, over time, to create an environment in the mouth that is not favorable for the bacteria that cause bad breath.
