What are the academic requirements for the School of Diagnostic Medical Sonography?
• High school diploma or GED • Standardized test scores • SAT I: minimum math and critical reading score of 850, or • ACT: minimum composite score of 18 • Satisfactory graduation from: • A nationally or regionally accredited Radiologic Technology or other programmatic, nationally or regionally accredited two-year allied health education program that is patient care related (clinical education component is predominately supervised direct patient care in a hospital environment), or • A regionally accredited U.S. postsecondary institution with a minimum of a Bachelor degree and documentation of health-related experience • Completion of the following courses at a regionally accredited U.S. postsecondary institution with a 2.0 or higher course average: • Algebra or a higher level mathematics • Communications (i.e. Speech, English, etc.) • Medical terminology • Human Anatomy and Physiology I & II • Physics (any postsecondary physics, i.e Introductory, Essentials, Radiation, etc.) • Biology (
