What are the Academic Prerequisites for Admission to Law School?
The academic prerequisite for admission to law school is successful completion of 10 full courses or 20 half course equivalents (60 credits) in a program of studies leading to a degree at a university in Alberta, or its equivalent. This is a firm policy. No exceptions are made for any admission category. Most applicants who are accepted into the program have completed a full 4 year degree. Courses must be completed prior to December 31 of the year in which application is made to be considered in the GPA calculation.
