What are the academic eligiblity rules to compete?

0

At Huron we have several academic policies which may impact your daughter and her athletic participation. The bottom line is that in order to begin a season, an athlete must have had a 2.0 GPA AND passed 5 classes at the semester prior to the beginning of the season. This is called entry eligibility. Once the season starts, in order to continue to compete, athletes must be passing 5 classes at interim grade checks and passing 5 classes with a 2.0 GPA at marking period checks. For a more concise explanation see the Athletic Dept.’ policies page..
