A&E ‘reality’ series stars JCU’s Joe Adair, debuts Easter Sunday (Apr 16) A 2000 JCU graduate is one of the stars of “God or the Girl,” a 5-part TV series that begins Easter Sunday evening on the A&E Network. Joe Adair, coordinator of immersion experiences and a resident campus minister at JCU, joined 3 other men as they shared the process of discerning whether or not they have a vocation for the priesthood. Executive Producer Mark Wolper revealed that the series, designed as a reality show to capitalize on the celibacy issue, turned into a documentary. “We completely shifted 180 degrees as a result of what we learned from these gentlemen,” Wolper was quoted in the Washington Post.
