For freshmen and transfer students, the school year begins on Registration Day, August 31. For upperclassmen and returning students, the school year begins on September 7. The semester officially ends on December 19. The first day of classes in the winter semester is January 11 (for students taking a January modular class, the first day of classes is January 4).
