What Are Tenses?

0

We use tenses to give a sense of time to what we’re saying. For example “yesterday I went”, and “tomorrow I will go.” We can describe things that happened in the past, things happening right now, and things happening in the future. You have to learn the rules to be understood. For example there are a few ways to express an idea in the past. “I was thinking” versus “I thought” convey two different ideas, though they both represent time that has already passed. We’ve summarized the tense rules for easy reference. The summaries include a lot of examples. Remember that examples make Spanish come alive.
