What are teachers’ rights and responsibilities during bomb threats, drug searches, and lockdowns?
A teacher must stay in his/her classroom with his/her students. The door is kept closed. No one is allowed in or out until the Principal/Vice-Principal comes over the P. A. to give permission to carry on the school day. Students who have left the classroom and are caught in the halls during the emergency, must report to the nearest class room and wait until the emergency passes.
