What are “targeted announcements” and who can send them?
The information that you see in your “Personal Announcements” channel is the result of someone sending a targeted announcement. Targeted announcements are sent to PAWS users based on their role (faculty, employees, students) or there membership in a specific department, course or group. Depending upon the features enabled by a course instructor or group leader, any/all members of the course or or group may be able to send these announcements. However, announcements based on role, or department can be sent only by those who have been designated as “Targeted Announcers”.
