What are system requirements for the GRID server?
The hardware requirements depend on the anticipated system load. For example, for a sustain throughput of about 10000 authentications per hour, the hardware specification would be Intel Pentium 3GHz processor, 1GB RAM, 40GB HDD. Throughput can be improved by increasing the processor speed and quantity, RAM size, hard disk speed, using RAID or server clustering. The GRID application is written in Java, and will run on a wide range of OS, including Windows, Linux and variants of UNIX. An RDBMS such as MySQL or MS SQL Server is also required for the GRID server.
