What are symptoms of herpes?
The most obvious symptoms of herpes are most pronounced during the first outbreak, which usually occurs within 2 weeks after infection with the virus. These symptoms can include a cluster of small fluid-filled blisters and sores that crust. The sores typically heal within two to four weeks. Other symptoms can include acne-like outbreaks in the genital area, flu-like symptoms, fever and swollen glands. Symptoms are different in each person, and can come and go without a set pattern.
