What Are Suzuki Violin Lessons?
Suzuki violin lessons are a method of teaching violin invented by Dr Shin’ichi Suzuki who wanted to bring beauty into the lives of Japanese children after the devastation of World War II. Suzuki’s theory was that if a child of 5 or 6 years could easily learn their mother tongue then there is no reason why they shouldn’t be able to learn a musical instrument. Suzuki violin lessons were first developed in Japan and from their spread to other countries in the area such as china and Korea. Although the method first began with the violin it has since spread to the flute, recorder, piano, guitar and many other instruments.
