What are summary maps?
Summary maps show the results of analyzing grouped data. On a summary map, not every feature or data point that contributed to the mapped results is displayed. Summary maps require data aggregation. Data aggregation means grouping together data points from the same area and analyzing them as a collection, rather than individually. For instance, a map may show data summarized by county, by distance, or by watershed.
