What are standards of care for clients at a hospice?
According to the Hospice Association of Ontario’s Community Residential Hospice Standards document, the standards of care for hospice clients are as follows: Standard 1: Each Community Residential Hospice has eligibility criteria that are consistent with the mission of its hospice and CHPCA’s definition of hospice palliative care. Standard 2: The Community Residential Hospice has comprehensive and ongoing person-centered assessments that are performed by designated formal caregivers. Standard 3: The Community Residential Hospice has a formalized process for ensuring confidentiality.
