What Are Stackable Washer Dryers?
Sometimes these units are referred to simply as stackables or laundry centers, and on occasion as combos; however, this is a misnomer as there are true combination washer and dryer units that are available on the market. Typically in a stackable washer and dryer unit, the dryer is above the washer and the two function entirely separately. This is completely different from a combination unit in which the dryer is part of the washing machine unit. Both the washing machine and the dryer are accessed from the front and the washer unit is a front-loading machine.
