What are SREC’s and how do they benefit me?
SREC stands for Solar Renewable Energy Credits. A credit is separate from the revenue of solar electric production. One credit is awarded for every MWh of energy produced by a solar system and can be sold to the utility or third-party companies at a price negotiated by the customer. These renewable energy credits can be accumulated and sold as long as your system produces solar energy. All of our customers have the option of YellowLite’s handling of renewable credit sales.
