What are sponsor and host organisations?
Sponsor organisations work with CWCs to provide work experience opportunities for participants in not-for-profit or government organisations. Sponsor organisations can develop Work for the Dole activity proposals to submit to CWCs for approval. As a sponsor organisation, you may want to place participants in another organisation, which will provide the work experience placement. This is known as a host organisation. Host organisations must also be not-for-profit. Host organisations supervise participants on a day to day basis but the sponsor organisation performs the administrative functions on their behalf.
