What are “Special Communities” within the 4-year Barrett Residential College of 1724 beds?

There are four special communities within the Barrett Residential complex. These communities are for first year students majoring Engineering, Business, the School of Sustainability and the Herberger School of Graphics and the Arts. All Barrett first-year students majoring in the Ira A. Fulton School of Engineering are required to live in the Barrett/Engineering community on the second and third floors of Cereus Hall . All Barrett first-year students with majors in the Herberger School of Graphics and the Arts live on the fourth floor in Cereus Hall. Business majors are encouraged but not required to live in the W.P. Carey School of Business special community within Barrett located on the 4th and 5th floors of Agave Hall. The School of Sustainability also provides a community within Barrett and all students dedicated to sustainability initiatives from multiple disciplines across campus can choose to live in the Sustainability House at Barrett by choosing this option when they apply for
